The founders.
We are three persons who have been involved in energy saving in building constructions during a large part of our lives. I am Hakan Falk, the author of this presentation and responsible for the WEB site. As co-founders for Energy Saving Now, I had Engelbrekt Isfelt and Teddy Rosenthal and will in the following make a short presentations of us.
I have education in business and engineering with experiences in fields like Building Acoustics, Energy Simulations in Buildings, CAD systems and Networking. I started using computers in the middle of the 60's for technical solutions, but became more and more involved in professional computing and network solutions. Apart from my early engineering experiences, I have been in charge of building European wide organizations for CAD and networking. Since the end of the 60's, I have had the honor to know and work with Teddy Rosenthal and Engelbrekt Isfelt, both well known in Sweden, for their work within the field of energy saving. I am now retired and live in Spain.
Engelbrekt Isfelt Ph.D., who was sadly taken away from us in 2004, was one of the most recognized persons in Sweden within the field of simulation of climate and energy transmissions in building constructions. He had all his working life been involved in research and education within the Royal Technical Institute of Stockholm (KTH), Sweden. He was also recognized internationally as an expert in his field. His stature within the research community was unique and his work have been essential to put Sweden in the position as the most advanced country in the world, when it comes to energy saving and comfort in building constructions. As a recognition for this, he was one of the recipients of the Swedish Energy Saving Award 1990.
Teddy Rosenthal who is a graduate from KTH, has also been working most of his career with computer simulations and calculations of systems in building constructions. Teddy and I started in the beginning of the 70's a consultant company for computer supported design of systems within installations in buildings. We established from the beginning a close cooperation with the KTH and are proud to have been able to support the University with development of computer programs.

We have several people that offered their contributions and they already started to show up on the site. I will give give you descriptions on the participants as soon as we have them. We are very grateful for the large interest and that others want to contibrute and help.
